12 Years ago one of the Bay Area’s most respected bands was formed and carved a niche in the music scene which brought a marriage of hardcore jazz, hip-hop and original music to the scene. Breaking down musical barriers and  and stereotypes was just one small part of the Cannonball credo which also included bringing fun and entertainment back to live music and bringing jazz to young audiences as well as hip-hop to older ones. For about 8 years Cannonball played packed shows in the Bay Area until taking a 4 year hiatus while the band members all pursued various solo and side projects including, The Shotgun Wedding Quintet, Realistic Orchestra and many other Jazz Mafia bands. Hald of Cannonball also went on to form the reggae band Groundation and have toured the globe many times with that outfit.

Friday, Dec. 11th will be a very special night when the band performs together for the first time in 3 years at Coda in San Francisco. The lineup includes all the members from the 1999-2004 period including Dublin, Aspect McCarthy, Adam Theis, Joe Cohen, Dave Chachere, Marcus Urani, Paul Spina, Ryan Newman and Special guest Rita Thies plus many more.
