On Saturday, May 12th 2007 the Jazz Mafia Horns (Mike Olmos, Joe Cohen and Adam Theis) performed a special concert with Rock n Roll Hall of Famer Booker T (Booker T and the MGs) at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. The concert was the annual benefit for Blue Bear School of Music and included many special guests; Vicki Randle (from The Tonight show), Sista Monica, Larry Batiste, Amber Morris with musical direction by Bonnie Hayes and hosted by local radio personality Sterling James.

The JM Horns performed on various STAX era songs with the All-Star band; Knock on Wood, Soul Man, Hold On I’m Comin, Dock of the Bay and numerous others.

The night was a huge success and lots of money was raised for the school program that Blue Bear presents. One of the highlights of the evening was seeing numerous bands in the School of Rock program get up and KILL IT! Many of these bands comprised of juniour high kids, were better than the average bands in rock clubs these days and put on a WAY better show! Will let ya know when video is available.
