Space Heater Sets The Crowd on Fire!
11.27.07
Ahhh the holidays! Lots of family, food, friends and fucking good times. Tuesday 11/27 was supposed to feature the Shotgun Wedding Hip Hop Symphony at Bruno’s, but all the travel made it so a lot of the musicians were unable to make it. Space Heater came to the rescue and hosted an energetic evening that featured a large number of guest musicians, MCs, and one bombfresh (that’s my word, don’t steal that shit) beatboxing female.
Evan Francis and the band delivered a great performance and were able to showcase their music, which a lot of Jazz Mafia heads hadn’t heard before (they got CD’s, buy em!) After most of the first set, they started welcoming guest musicians, including a sax player (someone fill in his name, I don’t know it), Danny Grewen, Mike Olmos and Adam Theis, and MCs including Dublin, Oroku Saki and some other friends who juggled 8 bars and then some. A female beatboxer named Butterscotch who showed some great larynxical (I just made that up, but you know what I mean) skills.

The night was a shit-ton of fun and whomever made it out there was definitely treated to a great performance, and yes the crowd actually we set on fire from the music. people went home pretty pooped, they were burnt from all the fun that they had that nite. and pat didn’t wear his SWQ t shirt that nite…
