Jazz On The Plaz[a]
Jazz Mafia Wednesdays at Mechanics Plaza
Presented by Jazz Mafia · Wednesdays | 12–2 PM · Downtown SF
Jazz Mafia is proud to curate and produce a brand new weekly music series in the heart of San Francisco’s Financial District at the historic Mechanics Plaza, where art and industry converge beneath Douglas Tilden’s iconic “Mechanics Monument.” Set among the bustling energy of Market Street, this revitalized downtown space becomes a midday oasis every Wednesday with live performances from 12–2 PM.
The series showcases a rotating cast of Jazz Mafia-adjacent ensembles—projects that embody the collective’s signature blend of jazz, funk, soul, global rhythms, and experimental sounds. With a lineup that includes forward-thinking groups like New Directions in Brass, Changüisonico, Actual Proof Society, Huney Knuckles, and more, each week offers something new for curious ears and open minds.
Whether you’re on your lunch break, passing through, or seeking a midweek cultural recharge, Jazz Mafia Wednesdays invite you to experience top-tier musicianship in a vibrant urban setting—free and open to the public.
